Acetic Acid

Acetic acid is a type of fatty acid expressed by the chemical formula CH3COOH.

It is a mild acid contained in vinegar and has a strong acidic flavor and stimulating odor.

Acetic acid is one of the tested ingredients for malodorous substances for the certification standard for “deodorant- treated textile products” set forth by the Japanese Association for the Functional Evaluation of Textiles (JTEC) categorized under the odors of perspiration, old-age odor, excrement, and tobacco odors.
