Sulfur-oxidizing(Thiobacillus)

Thiobacillus is a gram-negative autotrophic bacterium that proliferate obtaining energy oxidizing / reducing sulfur and inorganic sulfuric compounds.

It is known as the biological source of concrete corrosion used in sewerage by the generation of sulfuric acid as a metabolic result from hydrogen sulfide when propagating in into sewage facilities and pipelines.
